Abstrak

Introduction:  Tuberculosis (TB) remains a significant public health challenge, particularly in developing countries such as Timor-Leste. The complexity of TB is not limited to clinical aspects but is also influenced by social, economic, behavioral, and environmental factors. This study aims to systematically examine the role of community nursing in tuberculosis control in Timor-Leste. Method: The method used was a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) based on the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. The literature search was conducted using the Scopus database with keywords related to community nursing and tuberculosis, yielding 299 initial articles, which were then screened to identify 25 articles meeting the inclusion criteria. Results: The study results indicate that community nursing plays a crucial role in promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative aspects, including health education, active screening, contact tracing, and patient support during treatment.  Discussion: The success of TB control is influenced by various factors such as socioeconomic conditions, access to healthcare services, treatment adherence, and environmental factors. An effective intervention strategy is a community-based integrated approach that combines various control efforts simultaneously. Conclusion: This study contributes to the development of community nursing science by emphasizing the importance of a community-based approach in TB control. Furthermore, the results of this study are expected to serve as a foundation for the development of more effective health policies in Timor-Leste.
